A Cappella Plus Chamber Choir, now in its 26th year of singing in Nanaimo and area is presenting its spring concert, A Cappella Encore on May 28 at Knox United Church in Parksville at 2:30pm, and on June 4 at a new time and venue -- 2:30 p.m. at the Ecumenical Centre, Spartan Rd., Nanaimo.
Led by director Rosemary Lindsay, the choir will be performing old favourites and new repertoire. From Monteverdi madrigals and a strangely beautiful set of pieces by Hindemith to spirituals and 40s music, this program has something for all music lovers. Tickets are $15 and $10 and are available at Falconer Books, the Quilted Duck, Arbutus Music, the Mulberry Bush Book Store and at the door.
