A noise complaint early Sunday led to the recovery of stolen goods at a residence in Campbell River. When officers arrived at the home, they saw a motorbike that turned out to be stolen in the open garage.

A noise complaint early Sunday led to the recovery of stolen goods at a residence in Campbell River.

When officers arrived at the home, they saw a motorbike that turned out to be stolen in the open garage. They obtained a search warrant and found a small quantity of illicit drugs, another stolen motorcycle and sports memorabilia that had recently been taken from a storage trailer. Several thousand dollars were also found.

A 34-year -old Campbell River man is facing possible charges of drug trafficking and possession of stolen property.

Campbell River RCMP Const. Maury Tyre said the case is another example of the drug trade鈥檚 connection to theft in the community.

鈥淚t also shows that when the community takes part and reports suspicious or odd activities, it enables police to be active in dealing with problem locales.鈥
