A replica Glock-style handgun and throwing knife were seized during a drug investigation on Saturday.
Patrol officers arrested a male as part of a drug probe just after 4:15 p.m. on Saturday.
During a search of the man, police seized a throwing knife and a replica Glock pistol.
Victoria police have seized more than 60 replica firearms this year, said Bowen Osoko, a spokesman for the Victoria Police Department, in a statement.
Replica firearms include 鈥淎irsoft鈥� guns and air-powered pellet guns and have been used in numerous offences this year, said Osoko.
Their close resemblance to actual firearms, as well as their capacity to cause physical and psychological injury, make them an area of concern when used irresponsibly, said police.
The case remains under investigation, police said.
