A 22-year old Lower Mainland man has been arrested in Campbell River after an investigation by the RCMP street crime unit.

On Thursday, police searched an apartment in the 700-block of 9th Avenue seizing 70 grams of methamphetamine, 25 grams of crack cocaine, 23 grams of powder cocaine and $6,000 cash. They also seized a Dodge Caravan.

RCMP Const. Maury Tyre said police will be recommending charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Seizures such as these require far more investigative work than many people realize, said Tyre. It takes a lot of effort and information to gain access to a home or vehicle in order to hold criminals accountable for the misery they peddle.
