Victoria police are investigating after a security guard at the city鈥檚 Johnson Street parkade was attacked with bear spray on Nov. 7.
The security guard approached a man who appeared to be smoking something about 8:30 p.m. An altercation followed and the man sprayed the security guard with what鈥檚 believed to be bear spray, said Victoria police spokesman Const. Matt Rutherford.
The man fled and the security guard called 911.
Police officers and sa国际传媒 Ambulance paramedics arrived at the parkade, and the security guard was treated for the effects of bear spray.
The assailant is described as white, about 60 years old and five-foot-10 with a slim build and short grey hair. He is believed to have been wearing a light blue and grey jacket with jeans.
Rutherford said investigators are looking at video surveillance footage to try to identify the man.
