Environment sa国际传媒 has issued a wind warning for Greater Victoria near Haro Strait and exposed coastal sections of east Vancouver Island.
Strong southeast winds of 70 kilometres per hour are expected to peak Saturday evening and ease near midnight.
A frontal system will cross Vancouver Island late in the day. Ahead of the front, strong southeasterly winds will develop over Haro Strait and the Strait of Georgia.
The winds may cause damage, toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break.
