Parolee wanted on sa国际传媒-wide warrant after leaving halfway house

Police say the wanted man was seen on a bus destined for Vancouver.

Kamloops Mounties are hoping tips from the public will help them track down a parolee wanted on a sa国际传媒-wide warrant after failing to return to his halfway house.

Police said David Glenn Thomas Hurst, 65, did not return to his residence on Monday.

“Although David Hurst was initially reported as last seen near Fifth Avenue and St. Paul Street around 1:30 a.m. on Monday, further investigation indicated he was observed in Merritt later that day on a bus destined for Vancouver,” RCMP Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said in a news release.

Hurst is described as an Indigenous man standing 6-foot-4 and weighing 124 pounds. He has grey hair and brown eyes and uses a red and black wheelchair.

According to Mounties, he was last seen wearing a cowboy hat, brown boots, black pants and a brown jacket.
