RICHMOND, sa国际传媒 鈥 Police in Richmond, sa国际传媒, are seeking witnesses to a "reckless and brazen" road-rage incident in which a car passenger pulled out a gun and shot at a van driver at an intersection.

Richmond RCMP say the van driver wasn't hit by any bullets but was injured by shattered glass from his window in the Friday evening shooting at the intersection of Alderbridge Way and Lansdowne Road.

Police say the victim was driving a white Mercedes van when he was cut off by a white Kia.

When the van driver pulled alongside the Kia and shouted at the driver, a person in the Kia's passenger seat took out a gun and started shooting.

Richmond RCMP want to speak to anyone who witnessed the shooting or has dashcam footage of the area between 6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

The Kia was last seen heading east on Lansdowne Road.

鈥淭his was a reckless and brazen act which could have caused serious injury or worse to the victim or any pedestrian or motorist in the area,鈥 said Insp. Michael Cohee of the Richmond RCMP in a statement.

"We will go to every length possible to identify those involved in this grievous criminal act."
