To celebrate the start of small business month, Downtown Victoria Business Association executive director Jeff Bray and City of Victoria Mayor Lisa Helps had a cup of coffee at the Sherwood Cafe prepared by barista Ollie Nelson.
The city has proclaimed October to be small business month to recognize the role small businesses play in Victoria. They account for more than 75 per cent of the city鈥檚 local economy, and shopping locally keeps three times more revenue in that economy.
