Island Savings members who have been affected by an electronic system problem should see their accounts return to normal today, says a spokeswoman for parent company First West Credit Union.
The company was aware of an issue that affected some Island Savings bank machine and point-of-sale transactions, said First West communications manager Cheryl Shaw.
鈥淥ur IT team was alerted to the situation [Monday] and it has been our highest priority to find the root cause and resolve the issue as quickly as possible,鈥 she said. 鈥淎t this point, we have clearly identified the set of transactions needing correction and we鈥檙e anticipating to resolve the issue overnight.
鈥淎ll affected members should see their transactions posted to their accounts [Wednesday] morning.鈥
Some members on the Island reported they had deposited money and had it held up for more than three days.
Island Savings members voted in favour of a merger with Langley-based First West Credit Union in November 2014.
