L.L. Bean opening its doors Aug. 20 at Mayfair shopping centre

American retailer L.L. Bean is opening its first store in sa国际传媒 on Aug. 20 at Mayfair Shopping Centre.

The Victoria store, at 颅approximately 10,000 square feet, will sell outdoor-themed clothes and gear, such as 颅paddleboards and camping 颅supplies

sa国际传媒鈥檚 second L.L. Bean store is set to open in October in 颅Burnaby at the Amazing 颅Brentwood shopping mall.

In September, the company is launching stores in Calgary and Darmouth, N.S.

The company鈥檚 retail partner the Jaytex Group, a Canadian firm, distributes L.L. Bean merchandise in sa国际传媒. L.L. Bean has opened stores in Ontario in Barrie, Oakville, Ottawa, Toronto and Vaughn

L.L.Bean鈥檚 website said it has a large and growing customer base in sa国际传媒.

鈥淭he continued success L.L.Bean has seen in sa国际传媒 speaks to the inherent love our consumers have for the outdoors, and we look forward to equipping more Canadians for outdoor adventures at this new location,鈥 said Howie Kastner, president of Jaytex Group.

The company is expanding as Canadian retailers watch and hope for economic 颅recovery after a downturn due to the 颅pandemic. Despite 颅COVID-19, L.L. Bean said its most recent fiscal year returned the 颅strongest results in a decade.

The company, based in 颅Freeport, Maine, is known for its print and online 颅catalogues.

In Maine, the 108-year-old company has a one million square foot facility where it processes an average of 45,000 orders daily. About 13 million packages were shipped last year, its website said.
