A gin created by a Sooke distillery is the toast of the province鈥檚 food and beverage industry.
Sheringham Distillery鈥檚 Seaside Gin has won the Gold Award for Product of the Year at the annual sa国际传媒 Food and Beverage Awards, the equivalent of the Oscars for the sector.
Jason and Alayne MacIsaac have been operating Sheringham in Sooke since 2015. Last year, Seaside Gin won the the Best Contemporary category at the World Gin Awards.

Cascadia Seaweed, which last year established a kelp farm off the west coast of Vancouver Island and is planning to make the move from seaweed cultivation to seafood production, won the Innovation Award.
