Unionized employees at four Cascadia Liquor stores in Greater Victoria put down their picket signs after reaching a tentative agreement with their employer on Sunday.
SEIU Local 2 had been on strike for 43 days.
“Cascadia Liquor workers have won their first union contract,” the union said in a statement.
It said the tentative three-year contract, which must still be ratified by members, includes significant wage increases, wage premiums for specialized positions, health and dental benefits and other improvements.
The union said it has called off its boycott of Cascadia owner Truffles Group, which owns companies in the hospitality and tourism sectors.
Employees at Cascadia Liquor’s Quadra Street location in Victoria, Eagle Creek in View Royal and the Colwood location filed for union certification last year.
Workers at the Uptown location applied to unionize last week as the strike was underway.
SEIU Local 2 said it would release more information soon.
