If Dad has a soft spot for classic British sports cars, you should take him to the Father鈥檚 Day Picnic, Sunday at Beacon Hill Park.
Expect to see a comprehensive gathering of classic British cars, commercial vehicles, campers and motorcycles.
This year, the event is hosted by the Austin Healey Owners Association of British Columbia.
Along with different years and models of Healeys, visitors can also expect to see examples of MG, Triumph, Morgan, Austin, English Fords, Jaguar, Hillman, Jensen, Morris, Riley, Bedford, Rover, Sunbeam and maybe even a Rolls Royce.
You can view the cars and talk to the owners, who will probably be seated on lawn chairs (the sensible ones with umbrellas) near their pride and joy.
The event is free to view. The cars will be on display 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. off Circle Drive in Beacon Hill Park. For more information, go to Facebook.
