People taking part in Sunday's Salvation Army Christmas Fund Toy Run will be able to get an early chat with Santa. The toy run, put on by the Vancouver Island Mustang Association, is a one-hour cruise that takes drivers from the University of Victoria, through Central Saanich and ending at Beaver Lake.
Participants are asked to bring along an unwrapped toy or cash donation for the Salvation Army Christmas Fund.
The run is open to all vehicles. People should arrive by 9: 30 a.m. The cruise starts at 10 a.m. from parking lot 10 at UVic (enter off Gordon Head Road).
The cars end up at the Beaver Lake picnic site where the Salvation Army will be waiting with a barbecue for participants.
