Whether you walk or run, the clinic will get you in shape for the second largest 10K in sa国际传媒.

Just as important, it will give you a team to go with you every step of the way 鈥 and perhaps for years after you finish the race.

The sa国际传媒 10K on April 26, which most runners around town refer to as simply 鈥渢he TC,鈥 attracts more than 11,000 runners and walkers spread over three races.

There鈥檚 the main race, the kids鈥 1.5K run and the half-marathon, which was added last year.

If you have never tried it before or if you need a cheering section to help you train again, the clinics are the best way to go. The program is designed to take you safely and intelligently from couch to start line or to help you go faster. Chances are you will make good friends along the way.

Age is no barrier. In 2006, the oldest age categories in the TC10K were the men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 80 to 84. One woman and four men finished. Last year, six men and six women finished in those groups, but they weren鈥檛 the oldest. Two women and five men finished in the 85-to-99 age groups.

Few things can match the feeling you get from doing something you thought you could never do. The TC10K clinics can help you find that feeling. Check them out at tc10k.ca/clinics-2015/
