A $5,000 donation on Saturday helped to boost the sa国际传媒 Literacy Society鈥檚 2020 fundraising effort to $67,200. That donation was the largest of 85 this week.
Every dollar counts, because the more we raise, the more the society will get from Decoda Literacy Solutions, which 颅distributes money from the provincial government. That means more money for literacy work on Vancouver Island.
This appeal is, we hope, a special 2020 edition, never to be repeated. It takes the place of our annual book drive, which was cancelled this year聽because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The non-profit literacy society runs the fundraising effort.
