The Victoria Film Festival came to a close Sunday night, wrapping a very successful 29th edition, according to organizers.
The festival returned to fully in-person programming for the first time since 2020 with more than 100 screenings, 20 of which were sold-out. The festival’s 12-day run included a total of 7,759 tickets sold.
Organizers announced its award-winning entries on Sunday, which included The Eight Mountains (best feature film), Viking (best Canadian feature), Sam Now (best documentary), and Driving Madeline (audience favourite).
My Name is Arnold, by Victoria writer-director Arnold Lim, won audience favourite in the short film category.
