The Belfry Theatre's production of A Christmas Carol has been held over to Dec. 22.
"People are definitely in the Christmas spirit," theatre publicist Mark Dusseault said, noting that performances are selling out.
"The demand on this show really picked up after the first weekend."
The Charles Dickens classic is adapted and directed by Michael Shamata. It stars Tom McBeath as Scrooge.
Tickets, ranging from $25 to $40, can be purchased by phoning 250385-6815 or at tickets. belfry.bc.ca.
The Belfry Theatre is also holding an online auction through Dec. 16. The auction features food, wine, artworks and a hockey puck signed by Wayne Gretzky.
Bidding closes on Dec. 16 at 4 p.m., and items will be available for pickup or shipped the following day.
The auction is being held to help the Belfry recover some of the funds it lost when the theatre had to cancel its fundraising wine auction in October. The link is: belfry.bc.ca/ online-holiday-auction.
