Belfry鈥檚 A Christmas Carol given longer run

The Belfry Theatre鈥檚 production of A Christmas Carol is being held over until Dec. 23. Six more performances have been scheduled for the production, which was originally set to close on Sunday.

The Belfry Theatre鈥檚 production of A Christmas Carol is being held over until Dec. 23.

Six more performances have been scheduled for the production, which was originally set to close on Sunday.

Holdover performances will take place Tuesday through Thursday (Dec. 19-21) at 7:30 p.m., and Dec. 22 and Dec. 23 at 8 p.m., with an additional matin茅e on Dec. 23 at 4 p.m.

Director Michael Shamata鈥檚 adaptation stars Tom McBeath as Ebenezer Scrooge, with a supporting cast that includes Gerry Mackay, Jan Wood, Amanda Lisman, Jessica Hickman, Brian Linds and Celine Stubel.

Throughout the run, the Belfry will be collecting contributions for the Mustard Seed Street Church. Audience members are encouraged to bring non-perishable food (canned fruit and vegetables, canned fish and meat, dry pasta, rice and oatmeal, cereal, pasta and cooking sauces), baby needs (formula, food and diapers) or personal items (feminine hygiene products, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, socks and underwear).
