Dave Foley, the Canadian comedian known for his roles in Kids in the Hall, NewsRadio and the latest season of Fargo, has been added to the celebrity lineup for Island FanCon, a celebration of pop culture slated for Langford April 13 and 14.
Foley joins Encanto star Jess Darrow, UFC champion Forrest Griffin, The Mandalorian actress Emily Swallow and Game of Thrones star Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, who were also recently announced for the event weekend.
Foley’s most recent recent acting credit was Danish Graves in season 5 of Fargo. He has more than 160 credits over his career, including the portrayal of Dave Nelson in the hit sitcom NewsRadio as well as wide range of projects such as Dr. Ken, Spun Out, Hot In Cleveland, Dan Vs., A Bug’s Life, The Wrong Guy, The Middle and others.
Lonnie Eckardt, founder of Island FanCon, announced Foley’s participation on Thursday. “Dave Foley is a true Canadian legend, and we are honoured to have him join us,” he said. “His contributions to comedy and entertainment have left an indelible mark on Canadian culture, and we know fans will be thrilled to meet him.”
