A quartet of local artists who painted en plein air this summer during the 45th annual Victoria Classic Boat Festival will showcase their work Sunday at the Maritime Museum of BC.

Liz Charsley, Richard Linzey, Janet Moore, and Christina Morrison, who painted in real time aboard a variety of vessels and on the public docks along Wharf and Government streets during the Labour Day festival, will present the fruits of their labour Saturday as part of a one-day event at the museum on Douglas Street.

“If you saw artists perched aboard vessels or dockside during our Labour Day festival in Victoria’s Inner Harbour and wondered how their works turned out, this is your chance to see,” said Anya Zanko, events and development manager for the museum.

The showcase of festival artwork is set for noon until 4 p.m. Admission is by donation Sunday during regular museum operating hours, 9:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. The artists will be on site for the event, and their nautical-themed paintings created Aug. 3-Sept. 1 during the festival will be available for sale.

For more information, visit or phone 250-385-4222. The Maritime Museum of BC is located at 744 Douglas St.
