See a free movie and hit the arcade for charity
Film fans can visit three Cineplex theatres on Saturday to enjoy events tied to Cineplex Community Day.
SilverCity and Cineplex Odeon in Victoria and Cineplex Odeon Westshore in Langford are offering free screenings of My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3, Everything Everywhere All At Once, PAW Patrol: The Movie and PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie on a first-come, first-served basis from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. only. Advance online tickets are limited. Additional tickets will be available in person at participating theatres.
Arcade gaming via a 30-minute play card (when available at select theatres) will be free for guests to enjoy prior to screenings of the aforementioned movies.
The event, now in its 12th year, is a fundraiser for BGC sa国际传媒, formerly Boys & Girls Clubs of sa国际传媒. Popcorn, soft drinks and select candy are available from the concessions at each location for $3, with one dollar from every concession order donated to the national nonprofit. “Last year’s Cineplex Community Day was an incredible success, and we are thrilled to carry on the tradition of offering movies and play that create memories and special moments for our guests and their families and friends nationwide,” Cineplex president and CEO Ellis Jacob said in a news release.
“[W]e are proud the money raised makes a tangible difference in the lives of our nation’s youth and a true impact on communities across sa国际传媒.”
To date, Cineplex has raised over $535,000 for BGC sa国际传媒 through initiatives like Cineplex Community Day.
