Celebrate diversity at One Day, a family-friendly, fully-accessible outdoor community event at Topaz Park on Saturday.
This is the 12th year of the annual event, which organizers hope will break down barriers that result in social isolation for some.
The event typically attracts hundreds of people enjoying music and a low-cost barbecue lunch with refreshments.
There will be fully accessible games and activities for the whole family, a Children’s Fun Zone with bouncy castles, mini-golf, games and special guests.
One Day is also a kickoff to Community Inclusion Month.
The month is a time when communities across sa国际传媒 host events to celebrate the abilities and achievements of people with diverse abilities.
The event runs 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 9 at Topaz Park, corner of Finlayson and Blanshard streets.
