The final round of artists scheduled to perform at the upcoming Rifflandia festival was announced Thursday, pushing the total number of acts set to perform in 2024 to more than 50.
Feist, The Beaches, De La Soul, Bob Moses, L7, Cro-Mags, Crash Test Dummies and others will be on deck Sept. 15, the third and final day of programming at the Matullia Lands in Rock Bay. They join a lineup that includes previously announced acts Ja Rule, Rezz, and C+C Music Factory (who headline on Sept. 13) and TLC, Oliver Tree, and Sophie Ellis-Bextor (Sept. 14), among others.
Rifflandia will be held exclusively on the Matullia Lands this year, after producers opted out of Royal Athletic Park, the festival’s longtime home for its daytime and early evening programming. “With music and community as our centrepieces this September, we can’t wait to share the full Rifflandia experience at our new festival site,” Rifflandia Entertainment Co. president and CEO Nick Blasko said in a statement.
The festival will be entirely all-ages for the first time this year, which expands the audience for Rifflandia’s popular nighttime programming. The event drew record daily audiences of 8,000 people last year, with a lineup that included appearances by Paris Hilton, Diplo, Iggy Pop, Salt-N-Pepa, and Run the Jewels, among others.
