Winners of the 2021 sa国际传媒 and Yukon Book Prizes were announced Saturday, with Victoria authors Robert Amos and Sara Cassidy emerging triumphant during the online gala.
A jury for the 37th annual event selected five finalists in each prize category. Amos, a former sa国际传媒 columnist, won the Bill Duthie Booksellers鈥� Choice Award for his acclaimed outing, The E. J. Hughes Book of Boats, while Cassidy took home the Sheila A. Egoff Children鈥檚 Literature Prize for Genius Jolene.
The awards-show gala took place Saturday over Zoom. The event was hosted by author Monique Gray Smith of Victoria, who won a sa国际传媒 Book Prize in 2017.
