Local writer Michael Christie will celebrate the release of his acclaimed new novel, Greenwood, with an event at Munro鈥檚 Books today (Oct. 8).
The novel about a dystopian future (the year is 2038) where trees are dying is set on a fictional island off the coast of sa国际传媒 Greenwood鈥檚 second novel was named to the Giller Prize longlist in September, matching the author鈥檚 previous long-list nomination for his 2015 novel, If I Fall, If I Die.
Christie, who splits his time between Galiano Island and Victoria, will appear in conversation at 7 p.m. tonight with fellow writer Lee Henderson. The event is free to attend.
