'Oh what a movie': Stars share love for iconic Canadian actor Michael J. Fox at biopic screening

Iconic Canadian actor Michael J. Fox held a screening for his upcoming film "Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie" in New York City on May 3, 2023. It saw a star-studded attendance including a rare public appearance from Meg Ryan.

A number of Hollywood stars gathered in support of an iconic Canadian actor this week. 

Singers, actors, and other celebrities convened at Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Centre, New York City, Wednesday (May 3) night for a screening of Michael J. Fox's upcoming biographical film. 

The Edmonton-born actor, known for his roles in Back to the Future and Doc Hollywood, stars in Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie, which chronicles Fox's . The film will "incorporate documentary, archival and scripted elements," according to Apple TV+.

Vancouver's Ryan Reynolds shared a to Michael J. Fox earlier this year, adding that Fox's film The Frighteners is "criminally underrated."

Among attendees were Law & Order: SVU's Mariska Hargitay, Ali Wentworth, Joan Jett, Katie Couric and husband John Molner, Elvis Costello, Mark Seliger, Denis Leary, Henrik Lundqvist, Debra Messing, Andrew Shue, and Fox's wife Tracy Pollan and daughter Schuyler Fox.

"Oh what a movie, oh what a person, oh what a heart," writes Hargitay endearingly in an Instagram post. Others also share touching messages on social media.
