- Saturday鈥檚 Bach Christmas Concert at Church of St. John the Divine is a seasonal musical treat.
The Victoria Bach Ensemble, made up of eight musicians and two singers for this concert, will perform some of the best of the Baroque master鈥檚 works.
The ensemble was formed in 2003 by David Barss, on trumpet, and Michael Drislane, the group鈥檚 musical director. The concert includes Sharon Stanis and Maddie Reid on violin, Donna Robertson on viola, Ali Money on cello, Bruce Miekle on bass and Lanny Pollet on flute. Singers include soprano Rachel Fenlon and baritone Nicholas Allen.
The ensemble stages only two to three concerts a year. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors, and are available at the door. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the concert starts at 7:30 at 1611 Quadra St.
