Singer-songwriter Sarah McLachlan honoured with sa国际传媒 Post stamp

The Lilith Fair singer/songwriter gets her own stamp design.

sa国际传媒-based singer-songwriter Sarah McLachlan has entered the ranks of Canadian artists such as Elisapie, Bruce Cockburn, Kate and Anna McGarrigle and Robbie Robertson being honoured with a commemorative sa国际传媒 Post stamp.

The unveiling of the new design takes place on Sept. 17 at the Sarah McLachlan School of Music in Vancouver. Both McLachlan and sa国际传媒 Post CEO and president Doug Ettinger will be attending.

A Grammy and Juno award-winning recording artist with sales exceeding 40 million albums, McLachlan is also a 2017 Canadian Music Hall of Fame inductee and was appointed an Officer of the Order of sa国际传媒 in 1999. Among the artist’s crowning achievements was the creation of Lilith Fair in 1996, which became one of the top 20 highest-grossing tours of the 1990s and the most successful all-female music festival in history.

The Sarah McLachlan School of Music was established by the singer to offer inclusive and barrier free access to music education for children and youth in 2002.

McLachlan’s has recently been performing dates on the 30th anniversary tour of her breakout album Fumbling Towards Ecstasy. The tour winds up on Nov. 20 at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre in Victoria.

McLachlan has said that she is working on new music for release sometime in 2025. Her most recent recording was 2016s Wonderland.
