Stage show version of Price is Right visits Victoria in March

Contestants pulled from the audience have a chance to win appliances, vacations and new cars by playing games originally designed for the hit TV show. The Price Is Right Live! has given away more than $10 million in cash and prizes in the last nine years.

Audience members must be 19 and older to register as contestants, but all ages can attend.

Todd Newton is scheduled to host The Price Is Right Live! Newton won an Emmy Award for outstanding game show host in June for his work on Family Game Night.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the TV version of The Price Is Right, which first aired in its current form in 1972 with Bob Barker as host. Comedian Drew Carey took over on-air hosting duties in 2007.
