Several non-profit organizations are once again offering to dispose of trees in an environmentally friendly manner 鈥� and raise money in the process. Some even offer to pick up trees from homes.
Here are some of the organizations and their drop-off points:
Who: sa国际传媒 Lions Society annual Chip-In for the Kids
Where: Tillicum Shopping Centre, Broadmead Village Shopping Centre, Safeway (Fort and Foul Bay), Westshore Town Centre, University Heights Shopping Centre and Sooke Home Hardware. Cowichan Valley residents can drop off Christmas trees at the sa国际传媒 Forest Discovery Centre, 2892 Drinkwater Rd., in Duncan.
When: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday

Note: Wain Road will also host an open house with hot dogs, coffee, hot chocolate and fire-truck rides.
The McTavish location will also accept bottles.
