Two Victoria writers have been named finalists for the 2020 CBC Poetry Prize.
Hiromi Goto was selected for alley/bird/ally, while Andrea Scott was selected for Adipose Glose.
The writers join Selina Boan of Vancouver, Matthew Hollett of Montreal and Emily Riddle of Edmonton in the running for the prize, which carries a a cash prize of $6,000 from the sa国际传媒 Council for the Arts and two-week writing residency at Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity.
The four other finalists will each receive $1,000 from the sa国际传媒 Council for the Arts and will be published on CBC Books.
The poems were selected from 2,930 entries received from across sa国际传媒, which is the highest record of entries for the CBC Poetry Prize in recent years.
The Grand Prize Winner for this year鈥檚 prize will be announced on Nov. 12, 2020.
