Victoria jazz festival鈥檚 headline acts announced

Headliners for the TD Victoria International Jazz Festival were finalized this week, with Macy Gray, Morgan James and Jameson Ross, GoGo Penguin and the Jerry Douglas Band added to the bill for the festival鈥檚 35th edition.

Headliners for the TD Victoria International Jazz Festival were finalized this week, with Macy Gray, Morgan James and Jameson Ross, GoGo Penguin and the Jerry Douglas Band added to the bill for the festival鈥檚 35th edition.

The new names round out the festival鈥檚 Marquee Series and join previously announced acts St. Paul and the Broken Bones (June 28), Dee Dee Bridgewater (June 22), and the Spanish Harlem Orchestra (June 26) at the top of the festival鈥檚 2018 instalment.

British piano trio GoGo Penguin (June 23), vocalist Morgan James and drummer Jameson Ross (June 25), and bluegrass favourites the Jerry Douglas Band (June 29) are scheduled to perform at the McPherson Playhouse, while soul singer Macy Gray (June 27) is slated to appear at the Royal Theatre.

Jazzfest will run at various venues from June 22 through July 1.
