Health restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic have resulted in Capital City Comic Con pushing its start date to later this year, organizers announced Thursday.
The pop-culture convention was scheduled for March 25-27. The event will now take place Sept. 23-25, when organizers expect fewer restrictions. “Capital City Comic Con has become a great way to bring people into our downtown core,” said executive director Jeff Bray of the Downtown Victoria Business Association, one of the presenting partners.
“We want hotels, restaurants and other small businesses to realize the full, positive impact of the event on their bottom line. Postponing Capital City Comic Con is the right decision for everyone involved.”
Other details will be confirmed in the coming weeks. Tickets purchased for the March will remain valid for the September dates. Those who cannot attend are asked to contact [email protected] for options.
