Take in a fun-for-the-whole-family adaptation of a comedy classic at a National Historic Site as Craigdarroch Castle presents Radio, Mistletoe and My Man Godfrey, a live radio play by Launch Pad Theatre, today until Sunday
This festive reworking of the 1936 screwball comedy My Man Godfrey concerns a sprightly socialite who, during an unscrupulous Christmas scavenger hunt, finds herself a hobo whom she hires as the family butler, only to fall in love with him … much to his dismay.
The performance is done in the style of a live, old-time radio play, with costumes, microphones, snappy dialogue, humour and Foley sound effects.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $13 for children 18 and under — the play is recommended for ages six and up.
The performance starts at 6:30 p.m. today through Sunday at Craigdarroch Castle, 1050 Joan Cres.
