Health officials report five more COVID-19-related deaths in New Brunswick

FREDERICTON 鈥� Health officials in New Brunswick are reporting five more deaths attributed to the novel coronavirus. There have now been 438 COVID-19-related deaths in the province since the start of the pandemic.

FREDERICTON 鈥� Health officials in New Brunswick are reporting five more deaths attributed to the novel coronavirus.

There have now been 438 COVID-19-related deaths in the province since the start of the pandemic. 聽

The latest report for July 10 to July 16 says there were 22 people hospitalized with the disease 鈥� an increase of five from the previous week. 聽

There was one patient in intensive care, down one from the previous week. 聽

People between the ages of 70 and 90 composed the majority of COVID-19 patients in the province's hospitals.

About 57 per cent of the newly reported cases involve the BA.5 variant.
