Quest to find owners: sa国际传媒 man discovers lost rings at Vancouver Island lake

The rings were linked together and found beside the lake.

A sa国际传媒 man is hoping to find the rightful owner of lost jewelry he found on Vancouver Island.

Ryan Bonner went for a dip in Cameron Lake on Sept. 1 around 6 p.m. when he made the discovery.

“When I was getting back out of the water to go sit down, I kicked up some rings,” he says. “I bent down and picked them up.”

He thought to himself it was very nice jewelry and that it might possibly be a wedding band. The jewelry, two earrings and four rings, were found linked together near the Cameron Lake rest area.

“I just want to get back to you whoever it belongs to,” he tells Glacier Media. “It seems it's probably important by the engravings on them."

Highway 4 at Cameron Lake Bluff was closed due to a wildfire and debris but recently re-opened and Bonner believes someone recently lost the jewelry.

Bonner also posted the jewelry on a local Facebook group hoping to find the owner and plans on bringing the jewelry to the police if no one comes forward to claim it.

"Hopefully, it finds its way to the right person,” he says.

He says the person will need to identify the ring by the engravings on them.

“That's the only real way that I know how to give it to the right person, just from the inscription on it because it's kind of pretty unique,” he says.
