A flight from Vancouver to Houston, Texas was met by medical personnel as 25 passengers fell ill.

A group of passengers who flew from Vancouver to Houston, Texas this weekend were greeted in the United States by medical personnel after falling ill on the flight.

The flight, United 1528, left Vancouver on Friday, May 31 under normal circumstances, but during the trip 25 passengers all fell ill, according to United Airlines.

"A group of 75 travelers on that flight were previously on a cruise in Vancouver," Capt. Sedrick Robinett of the Houston Fire Department tells V.I.A. "25 of those travelers were ill due to the cruise. They complained of nausea."

He notes that patients were evaluated at George Bush Intercontinental Airport but released; no one was taken to the ER.

United Airlines says the company is coordinating with heal authorities to address the situation.

"As a precautionary measure, the aircraft will be removed from service and go through a deep cleaning before returning to service," states the airline in an email to V.I.A.

The Boeing 737 Max 8 had left the Vancouver airport with 163 passengers and six crew.
