OTTAWA — sa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½'s annual inflation rate was 3.3 per cent in July, Statistics sa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½ says. The agency also released rates for major cities, but cautioned that figures may have fluctuated widely because they are based on small statistical samples (previous month in brackets):

— St. John's, N.L.:  2.9 per cent (2.2)

— Charlottetown-Summerside: 2.2 per cent (0.2)

— Halifax: 3.6 per cent (2.3)

— Saint John, N.B.: 3.3 per cent (2.4)

— Quebec City: 4.4 per cent (4.2)

— Montreal: 4.8 per cent (4.6)

— Ottawa: 3.3 per cent (3.2)

— Toronto: 3.7 per cent (3.1)

— Thunder Bay, Ont.: 3.5 per cent (3.4)

— Winnipeg: 2.8 per cent (2.3)

— Regina: 3.1 per cent (3.5)

— Saskatoon: 3.8 per cent (3.9)

— Edmonton: 2.3 per cent (1.4)

— Calgary: 3.4 per cent (2.0)

— Vancouver: 3.7 per cent (4.0)

— Victoria: 2.7 per cent (2.9)

— Whitehorse: 5.2 per cent (4.8)

— Yellowknife: 2.5 per cent (2.5)

— Iqaluit: 2.6 per cent (2.6)
