Five local chefs squared off in a competition to tantalize taste buds and support Our Place last week.
The Hungry Hearts fundraiser challenged the chefs to create a sea-inspired savoury bite, and invited guests to vote for their favourites.
First place went to Chef Castro Boateng of House of Boateng Catering for his gourmet version of African fish and chips. It was his third win in the five-year-old event.
The sold-out celebration raised more than $145,000 to help Our Place in its mission to support vulnerable people in Victoria.
