Events continue all year at the University of Victoria to celebrate the school's 50th anniversary.
Here are some highlights:
Oct. 16: A Celebration of 50 Years of Excellence
6 p.m., the Crystal Garden
A gala dinner will honour five people with inspiring stories of personal and professional accomplishment.
March 4-15: IdeaFest 2013
The second annual IdeaFest, held in various locations, brings together creative thinkers from across the university's campus.
March 6: 50th Anniversary International Student Talent Show
A show of talents, costumes, artwork, performances and educational presentations by international students attending courses in the Continuing Studies department's English Language Centre.
June 1-8: 82nd annual Congress of Humanities and Social Sciences
The Canadian Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences brings together academics, policy-makers and researchers from 70 associations to explore ideas that could help to guide sa国际传媒 in the future.
