Saturday's Concert in the Park promises two hours of high-energy traditional Celtic jigs, strathpeys and aires from Scotland, Ireland, Cape Breton and Newfoundland played by local Celtic band Cookeilidh.

Sit back and listen, or get up and dance. Seating is provided but you can also bring your own blankets or folding chairs.

While most of the music played is timeless Celtic tunes, the four-member Victoria band will also play some its own compositions.

Concert in the Park is free and runs 1: 30 to 3: 30 at the Cameron Bandshell in Beacon Hill Park. For more information, go to cookeilidh.com.
