Inspection reports for restaurants all over the Island are posted at the Vancouver Island Health Authority website. You can search by name, or browse by community. "Follow-up Inspection" is the label to watch for, suggesting that there's been some kind of problem, often minor.
The reports offer interesting reading. But ignoring them might be better for your digestion.

Big-time chef Jacques P茅pin - a great friend of Julia Child - recently made a series with PBS called More Fast Food My Way. He's wonderful on the show.
I especially like his brussels sprouts with bacon.
