The Dark Knight Rises is finally opening at Imax Victoria Friday, with footage that can be seen as Christopher Nolan intended.

The film's director is such a fan of the Imax format, he filmed more than an hour of Dark Knight Rises with Imax cameras.

Theatre director Paul Wild has been deluged with emails and phone calls since The Dark Knight Rises opened commercially this summer. The theatre's six-storey screen, the largest in sa国际传媒, delivers Nolan's images with unprecedented clarity, he said.

"Nolan used Imax cameras even more extensively than he did in The Dark Knight," Wild said. "The crystal-clear images and powerful audio create a unique environment that makes the audience feel as if they are in the movie."

Christian Bale reprises his role as Bruce Wayne and Batman in the third film in Nolan's trilogy. The film co-stars Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle, Tom Hardy as supervillain Bane, and Marion Cotillard as Miranda Tate.

The film's limited engagement begins Friday, with 8 p.m. showtimes Thursday through Saturday, and 7 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday. The first 100 people to enter the theatre opening night will also receive a free comic book from Curious Comics.
