The sa国际传媒 Health Challenge comes to an end on Sunday, but for the four women and two men taking part, it鈥檚 just the beginning.

The 12-week challenge featured twice-weekly workouts with personal trainers at various recreation centres around Greater Victoria. Registered nutritionists offered dietary information, while other advice came from a counsellor and financial planners.

The challenge will wrap up with an event Sunday at the Pacific Institute for Sport Excellence in Saanich, starting at 9 a.m. Everyone who took part in the At Home Challenge is encouraged to attend.

It鈥檚 the first time all the participants will gather since the challenge got underway on Jan. 13. They include Steve Holub, 26; Raechel Gray, 38; Elisabeth Westlake, 58; Suzie Spitfyre, 37; Nathan Robinson, 39; and sa国际传媒 reporter Sandra McCulloch, 53. All plan to continue with fitness programs and healthy eating after the challenge has concluded.

The challenge included weekly tips, features on the participants and profiles of inspiring people who have made fitness a part of their lives. To read the complete series, go to timescolonist.com/health-challenge.
