Dear Dr. Roach: I have been having weird spells for about six months. They occur only occasionally and last a couple of days and nights. They awaken me out of sleep and are a little frightening.

Dear Dr. Roach: Four months ago, I was in an automobile accident and suffered severe injuries 鈥� a collapsed lung, broken ribs, broken lumbar spine, broken/damaged teeth and mild traumatic brain injury.

Dear Dr. Roach: I am currently 100 pounds overweight, and I saw a doctor on television promoting the use of Garcinia cambogia for weight loss. I am 65 and, because of cancer, I underwent a radical nephrectomy and have only one kidney.

Dear Dr. Roach: I am 80 years old and just had a stroke. I was prescribed Coumadin. I had a miscarriage at age 30 with severe hemorrhaging. I think I needed a transfusion. They told me I have a 鈥渇actor鈥� in my blood.

Dear Dr. Roach: My eight-year-old grandson has had bright-red blood in his stool many times in the past four to six months. The doctor initially said he was dehydrated and needed to drink more water.

Dear Dr. Roach: Our son is聽43 and has sarcoidosis. We can鈥檛 find out much about this disease. Most doctors don鈥檛 seem to know much, either. Please help. E.L.

Dear Dr. Roach: My 21-year-old son is a college athlete, a sprinter, but he has had recurrent high systolic blood pressure readings since he was a senior in high school. He鈥檚 generally easygoing and not stressed.
