Dear Dr. Roach: I am 69. Two years ago, I had a heart attack followed by double bypass surgery. Two vessels on the back of my heart were blocked. I had no symptoms. My doctor, family, friends and I were stunned.

Dear Dr. Roach: My question is about my sister, who is 66 years old with aortic disease and has had four aneurisms: an ascending aneurism 4.5 x 4.6 cm, a descending at 4.2 x 4.7cm, and also an abdominal at 2.4聽x 3.2 and another just at 2 cm.

Dear Dr. Roach: My dad is 91 and in good health. In September, he had an episode in which his body stiffened and he fell. The paramedics came, and he was taken to the hospital, where they did an EKG, bloodwork, X-rays and a CAT scan.

Dear Dr. Roach: I鈥檓 a mother of a 49-year-old woman with special needs. She has tuberous sclerosis and a touch of autism. She has been on Abilify for more than six years to control the behavioural problems.

Dear Dr. Roach: I go to a group of excellent dermatologists, but one aspect of their practice bothers me. Often, the doctor will recommend a 鈥減roduct,鈥� which the practice sells. They are not cheap.

Dear Dr. Roach: I hope you will be able to help me with my problem. I am 67 years old and have been sweating profusely from my head for about six years. I believe it is secondary hyperhidrosis. No one in my family has this problem.

Dear Dr. Roach: I鈥檓 84 and was diagnosed in late 2012 with anemia (cause undetermined). Fatigue and dizziness are my major symptoms, and my bone marrow biopsy was negative for cancer.

Dear Dr. Roach: We recently lost a dear relative to cholangiocarcinoma. He had served in the U.S. Navy in Vietnam. The probable cause of his cancer was from a parasite, a river fluke, common to that region.

Dear Dr. Roach: I have been contending with blepharospasm for years. I聽got some relief from Botox for about four years, but then it stopped working and my doctor moved me to Dysport, which was horrible.

Dear Dr. Roach: In an answer to a previous question, you should have addressed the strong family history of breast cancer. She should be referred to a genetic counsellor to determine whether she needs to be screened for BRCA I or BRCA II. J.T.
