Learn more about the rich history of the Gorge Waterway on Sunday as the District of Saanich hosts the Saanich Heritage Bus Tour and Tea. Participants will join historian and author Dennis Minaker for an afternoon tour of historic sites along the Gorge.
The four-hour tour includes a visit to the Naval and Maritime Museum at CFB Esquimalt, followed by afternoon tea at St. Paul's Garrison Church. Travel will be via an airconditioned coach. The tour costs $30 and runs from 12: 30 to 4: 30 p.m., departing from Saanich Commonwealth Place, 4636 Elk Lake Dr. To register, visit or call any Saanich recreation centre or go to recreation.saanich.ca.
