The Via Choralis Chamber Choir presents its annual Remembrance Day concert on Sunday. The highlight of the afternoon's program is a performance of Gabriel Faur脙漏's well-known Requiem. There will also be music by Paul Halley, Pete Seeger, Larry Nickel and Linda Fletcher.
The Pie Jesu portion of the Requiem will be sung by a local guest soprano, 14-year-old Gwendolyn Jamieson. The choir will be conducted by Nicholas Fairbank, with Braden Young on piano.
Admission is $15 for adults and $8 for students. The concert starts at 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Elizabeth's Church, 10030 Third St. in Sidney. Tickets are available at Tanner's Books and at the door. For more information, go to viachoralis.ca.
